Charles Dracebo,
Former President

Currently he is employed as a National Country Coordinator and Head of Education for UNESCO Project Office in Uganda. As a team member of UNESCO Nairobi cluster office, he is responsible for UNESCO programmes support for all UNESCO projects in Uganda and member designate of UNESCO in the UN Country Team in Uganda.

He is a graduate of Master of Arts in Social Sector Planning and Management and a bachelor’s degree holder in Social Works and Social Administration. He is currently pursuing master’s degree in Business Administration (MBA).

For the last 21 years, he has worked progressively; 11 years with United Nations (UNICEF and UNESCO) and 10 years with 4 different International NGOs. 12 years of his work career focused on projects and programmes that support Social inclusion and equitable access to Social Welfare services to all, especially the most vulnerable sections of the Society.

He was the President of the National Association of Social Workers of Uganda for seven years, and contributed to the development of the Social Sector policies and programmes in the country and reshaping of the Social Work curriculum to be responsive to the current needs of the Social Welfare work force.

He has a proven record of accomplishment in organizational and institutional capacity strengthening, a solid management experience and a critical and methodological approach to programme design and oversight as illustrated in the various achievements below.
